My goodness, we've got another cruise-liner load of camcorder reviews for you today! A particularly prominent feature is the Sony TG7VE -Another "World's smallest HD camcorder". Whilst there are no actual proper reviews of the thing, there's plenty of news about it. Staying in the Sony camp, Cnet give a proper review of the Handycam HDR-CX100. HardwareZone reveal that Canon has announced 7 new Legria Camcorders. "What does LEGRIA mean? According to Canon, the name's inspired by the Spanish word allegria, which means 'joy' in English. The seven camcorders are divided into three categories; the HF high definition series, the FS standard definition series and the flagship HF-S high definition series." More announcements in the form of the Sanyo 2009 line, including the waterproof VPC-WH1. "Among the new camcorders are the 1080p 60 frames per second VPC-FH1, VPC-WH1 720p HD camcorder with 30x optical zoom that works to 10 feet under water for an hour. Other new cameras include the VPC-TH1 and VPC-CG10. " Mount it on your helmet. Yeah. That's the intention for the VholdR - the "flip camcorder for sports". 280 of your US Dollars.
Nearly there... The Panasonic HDC-SD20 gets a going-over from CamcorderInfo, with a comparison against the Sanyo VPC-HD2000, the Canon HF20 and the Sony MHS-CM1. "The Panasonic HDC-SD20 offers a truly entry-level high definition camcorder experience. The video performance isn't in the same league as the Canon HF20 but neither is the price tag.
