A lot of us take video cameras and editing programs for granted; we can usually afford something that can suit us, no problem. Here's an article that, whilst not massively informative, shows us that video making isn't as easy for people from other countries. |

Despite the title, this isn't actually a guide on how to do it; it's a news story about Katalyst Media (run by the perpetually punchable Ashton Kutcher) launching their own series on the Facebook FunSpace app. Ross said the series is launching exclusively with Slide’s FunSpace application, which is kind of like a fancy version of Facebook’s Wall. That means that in order to even watch the show, you’ll have to both be a member of Facebook and install the FunSpace app. Why Katalyst would want this limited form of distribution to be exclusive is unclear to me, especially since Ross said Slide isn’t paying Katalyst, but rather both will be splitting revenue from integrated sponsor Cheetos. |

This made me giggle quite a lot... "An allegedly crappy wedding video landed a pair of not so newlyweds and their videographer in small claims court yesterday." reports the Aspen Daily News. "He said he has shot 75 weddings, and never gotten a complaint, except from one husband who said his wife “looked a little too chunky” in a certain shot, which Tefft said he edited out free of charge." |

Anthony E. Wolf from Canada's Globe and Mail gives teenagers a brilliant excuse to sit in front of Youtube for hours. You'll love this or hate it :) The kids are learning the skills necessary to succeed - or just survive - in today's world. They're learning how to communicate with others in the language of the world they will inhabit. They're learning how to find information. Most of them are better at it than us.
